Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Red Seal Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in plumbing systems, construction, and maintenance, with a strong understanding of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. The Red Seal Plumber will play a vital role in delivering quality workmanship on time and within budget, contributing to the success of our construction and maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in new residential, construction.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to complete tasks efficiently
- Conduct heavy lifting and physical tasks required for pipe installation and system repairs
- Perform system inspections to identify issues and troubleshoot plumbing problems effectively
- Collaborate with team members including HVAC technicians, carpenters, and other tradespeople to coordinate work efforts
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Maintain detailed records of work performed for project documentation and future reference
- Assist in assembly of plumbing components and related systems as needed
Requirements
- Valid Red Seal Plumbing Certification is mandatory
- Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, maintenance, and construction projects
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and blueprint reading
- Strong understanding of construction processes including carpentry and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Knowledge of schematics for complex plumbing systems and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Experience with assembly of plumbing components and welding techniques is preferred
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various project settings
