Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Chef to support our culinary team in delivering exceptional food service. This role involves assisting with food preparation, cooking, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent serving skills, and experience working in south Indian restaurant or kitchen environments. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support cooking processes by preparing ingredients and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- Serve food to customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and hygiene practices
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Support the team in maintaining a well-organized and efficient kitchen environment
- Follow all food safety regulations and restaurant policies to ensure a safe dining experience for guests
- Experience in preparing South Indian dishes like Dosa, Appam, Biriyani etc.
- Have to do other duties as assigned during busy time including dishwashing, serving, cleaning etc.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, South Indian restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in the food industry or related roles will be considered an asset
- Strong serving skills with the ability to engage positively with customers and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
