Lawson Auto Centre is seeking a motivated and skilled Journeyman Automotive Service Technician to join our growing team. We are an independently owned and operated repair shop that values quality workmanship, accurate diagnostics and honest customer service. This is a full time position working Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with no evenings or weekends.
The successful applicant will have strong mechanical and diagnostics abilities, take pride in producing quality repairs and work well both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair and maintain a wide variety of domestic and import vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, brake service, steering and suspension repairs, tires and fluid services.
- Use scan tools, diagnostic equipment and service information to accurately diagnose vehicle concerns
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical service information and repair procedures
- Perform repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
- Complete vehicle inspections and accurately document findings
- Communicate repair recommendations and diagnostic findings clearly with service advisors
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Work as part of a team to provide outstanding customer service
Qualifications:
- Automotive Service Technician Journeyman Certificate
- Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers License
- Own a professional set of automotive hand tools
- Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills, including the ability to read technical service information and accurately document repairs
- Ability to diagnose vehicle concerns using modern diagnostic equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
- Commitment to quality workmanship and continuous learning
- Ability to safely lift and handle automotive components
ASSETS:
- Experience performing wheel alignments
- Advanced electrical and drivability diagnostic experience
- Experience with oscilloscopes and advanced diagnostic equipment
