Summary
We are looking for a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to join our team for a maternity leave contract position.
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday, Thursday & Friday (24 hours/week)
- Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Includes a paid 30-minute lunch break
- This is an in-clinic position at our Guelph location in our 4000sq ft beautiful, sunny, modern clinic over 2 floors in heritage building
- All computers/programs provided in-office; co-working environment with semi-private sunny office shared with Medical Director
- work cellphone provided for social media management
- Occasional hybrid/remote days may be accommodated when appropriate, however regular in-person attendance for the 3 days per week is required
About the Role
The Marketing Specialist will oversee day-to-day marketing initiatives, social media management, website updates, digital advertising, promotional campaigns, and clinic communications while maintaining ArtMed’s established high-end medical aesthetic brand identity.
This is a highly independent role that requires strong organizational and time management skills, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and campaigns simultaneously.
Responsibilities
Website & e-Commerce Management
- Manage and update the ArtMed Squarespace website backend
- Add and maintain product listings and online service pages
- Upload before & after treatment photography
- Create new pages when needed and update existing treatment information
- Maintain accurate information within our AI chatbot platform (Elfsight)
Social Media Management
- Manage Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Meta Business Suite
- Create and schedule consistent static and video content
- Respond to social media inquiries and direct messages
- Engage with industry-related content and trends
- Assist with caption writing and content planning using ChatGPT Plus
- Design branded graphics and promotional materials using Canva
Email Marketing
- Manage bi-weekly Mailchimp newsletters
- Create campaigns related to promotions, clinic updates, events, and seasonal sales
Google & Online Presence
- Manage Google Business Profile updates
- Respond to Google Reviews professionally and promptly
- Maintain accurate clinic hours online, including closures and holiday schedules
Print & Promotional Marketing
- Design print materials using Canva and Adobe Illustrator
- Coordinate printing through Vistaprint and other vendors
- Assist with in-clinic signage and promotional materials
Digital Advertising
- Maintain basic Google Ads management
- Manage Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns through Meta Business Suite
Sales & Event Marketing
- Coordinate monthly promotional campaigns
- Assist with planning and execution of major annual sales and events including:
- Black Friday
- Winter Holiday Promotions
- ArtMed Annual Spring Open House
Donations & Sponsorships
- Coordinate local donation and sponsorship opportunities
- Assist with community partnership communications and event support
Administrative & Budget Support
- Maintain an operating budget and track expenses reporting quarterly
- Track monthly marketing expenses using Microsoft Excel
- Organize and submit receipts for accounting purposes
Qualifications
- Marketing/Advertising/Graphic Design or Business degree (University or College)
- Experience in digital marketing, social media management, or related fields
- Strong written communication and organizational skills
- Experience with Squarespace, Mailchimp, Canva, and Meta Business Suite
- Basic understanding of Google Ads and digital advertising
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator considered an asset
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple deadlines
- experience/Interest in aesthetics, skincare, beauty, or wellness industries is considered an asset
