RBI FORMING Ltd. is a forming company based out of Surrey BC. We are looking to fill the following position immediately:
SELF ERECT CRANE OPERATOR (A TICKET)
The Self-Erect Crane Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of self-erect tower cranes to lift, move, position, and place materials and equipment on construction sites. The successful candidate will work closely with site supervisors and crews to ensure all crane operations are completed safely and efficiently.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operate self-erect tower cranes to lift, move, position, and place materials and equipment
- Performs pre-operational inspections, safety checks, test lifts and load chart calculations
- Coordinate with site supervisors and leadership regarding crane placement and planned lifts
- Ensure all rigging operations are conducted safely and in accordance with industry standards
- Operate and maintain hoist and swing equipment used to move materials and machinery
- Assist with crane assembly, dismantling, and setup on site as required
- Follow all WorkSafeBC and Occupational Health & Safety regulations
- Review and comply with company safety policies and procedures
- Ensure all required certifications, safety tickets, and training are current and valid
- Support other site trades and crews as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and site protocols

- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent coordination and manual dexterity
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid “A” Crane Operator Ticket
- Must be a registered apprentice, certified journeyperson, or hold a recognized trade credential
- Previous experience operating self-erect tower cranes in a construction environment preferred
- Valid safety certifications and tickets required
- Reliable transportation to various job sites in the Lower Mainland
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00-$48.00 per hour
