We’re looking for an experienced Steel Fabrication Shop Manager to lead daily operations, oversee quality, and manage a small team in a high‑precision fabrication environment. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of fabrication/welding experience, strong knowledge of weld procedures, and hands‑on familiarity with advanced fabrication machinery.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of 3–5 fabricators/welders
- Oversee daily shop workflow, scheduling, and production targets
- Maintain and enforce WPS and advanced quality management standards
- Operate and supervise CNC equipment, press brakes, ironworkers, and automated welding systems
- Review drawings/blueprints and ensure accuracy in fabrication
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients
- Uphold safety standards and continuous improvement practices
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years experience in steel fabrication or welding
- Strong knowledge of WPS, welding codes, and quality systems
- Experience with advanced fabrication machinery
- Proven leadership and team‑management skills
- Ability to read and interpret complex fabrication drawings
Pay: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
