Job Description
The inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting customers, processing accurate sales orders, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth production scheduling and on time delivery. This role requires a friendly, upbeat communicator that thrives in a fast paced environment, maintains strong attention to detail, and enjoys building customer relationships. The Inside Sales Representative plays a key role in gathering all required production information for Cut to Length machines, Slitter, and other processing lines to ensure orders flow efficiently through operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, timely, and professional customer support to customers and internal teams
- Build strong customer relationships through clear communication and follow through
- Prepare and send quotes, order confirmations, and updates
- Communicate order timelines, changes, or delays to customers and sales teams
Order Entry & Documentation
- Enter sales orders accurately with all required production details
- Ensure packaging requirements, coil details and special instructions are clearly documented
- Maintain accurate line notes for CTL and Slitter orders
- Verify order specification and ensure alignment with customer requirements
Production Coordination
- Work closely with the scheduling to ensure orders contain complete and accurate information
- Communicate material availability, coil requirements, and processing needs
- Flag orders requiring stretching, accumulation, or special handling
- Coordinate with operations to clarify order details when needed
Problem Solving & Process Improvement
- Identify gaps or inconsistencies in order information
- Recommend improvements to reduce errors and streamline communication
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within sales and operations
Qualifications
- Experience in inside sales, customer service, or order processing
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read and interpret order specifications
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
