Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse electrical tasks, from industrial installations to renovation projects, utilizing a broad skill set to support our operations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan electrical installations and repairs.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial, commercial, and residential settings.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to perform wiring, conduit bending, and equipment installation.
- Work with low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other control systems as required.
- Assist in renovation projects by updating or replacing existing electrical infrastructure.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or remodeling projects to ensure electrical components are integrated correctly.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to prevent failures.
- Utilize handyman skills for minor repairs or adjustments related to electrical components.
Skills
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Experience as an industrial electrician or in construction environments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage wiring and control panels.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, and multimeters; experienced with power tools for heavy-duty tasks.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
- Ability to perform renovation work involving electrical upgrades or modifications.
- Good understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Handyman experience is a plus for versatile problem-solving capabilities.
- Possession of a journeyperson certification is preferred; however, we are willing to hire and sponsor a 2nd or 3rd-year apprentice.
- Must be enrolled in the apprenticeship program and provide proof of hours.
This position requires a dedicated professional capable of working independently or as part of a team while maintaining high safety standards and delivering quality workmanship across all projects.
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
