Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration and HVAC Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial refrigeration and HVAC experience, with the ability to diagnose, service, maintain, and repair a wide range of mechanical systems and equipment.
The successful candidate will have experience with walk-in coolers, reach-in coolers, ice machines, and commercial rooftop HVAC units, as well as strong knowledge of preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. A strong mechanical background is essential, along with hands-on experience in plumbing, welding, boilers, and appliance repair.
The ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, accurately diagnose problems, and develop effective repair solutions is required. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently while managing a variety of service and maintenance requirements in a commercial environment.
This is a hands-on position suited to a well-rounded technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, problem-solving, and providing reliable service to customers.
Responsibilities
- Service, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems in commercial settings
- Perform routine maintenance on heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical diagrams
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques
- Repair or replace boilers, appliances, and other mechanical components
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
- Document service activities accurately and efficiently for record-keeping purposes
Experience
- Proven experience working as an HVAC Technician or in a similar mechanical maintenance role
- Strong background in refrigeration, plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and appliance repair
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems and refrigeration
- Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings for system installation and troubleshooting
- Mechanic experience or background in maintenance is highly desirable
This position requires a dedicated professional with a comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems combined with practical skills in related mechanical trades. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality service.
