Product Manager / Scrum Master Kindertales | Hybrid | Full-Time
About Kindertales Kindertales is a software company that builds tools to support early childhood education providers. Our platform helps childcare centers and educators manage their programs more effectively, and we're passionate about creating technology that makes a real difference for the families and communities we serve.
We're seeking a versatile Product Manager who thrives in both strategic and operational roles to join our product team. You'll help shape what we build and how we build it. Sharing in product ownership and direction while keeping our Agile team running smoothly. Think of yourself as the voice of our customers and the engine behind our delivery process, working closely with a small, talented team that punches above its weight.
Your Responsibilities
Product Management (~50% of your time)
- Develop and champion a clear product vision that connects business goals, emerging market opportunities, and the real needs of our users
- Translate high-level strategy into a living roadmap with well-scoped epics and features the team can act on
- Stay close to our customers — through research, competitive analysis, and market intel — and turn those insights into sharp product requirements
- Keep the backlog healthy: write stories with crisp acceptance criteria, prioritize relentlessly, and refine continuously
- Serve as the connective tissue between founders, leadership, and engineering — aligning expectations and keeping everyone moving in the same direction
- Set meaningful KPIs, track outcomes after launch, and use what you learn to drive the next iteration
Scrum Mastership (~50% of your time)
- Run engaging, time-boxed Scrum ceremonies — Planning, Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retros — that the team actually finds valuable
- Get ahead of blockers before they slow things down, and know when to escalate versus when to handle it yourself
- Help the team grow — as Agile practitioners, as self-organizers, and as a cohesive unit committed to getting better
- Use delivery data to spot friction points and run targeted experiments to improve how the team works
What You Bring
- Product chops: 3–5 years managing products in a SaaS environment (B2B or B2C), with real examples of taking something from idea to shipped
- Agile credentials: CSM or equivalent; at least 2 years running Scrum ceremonies in practice; solid grasp of Kanban and scaling frameworks like SAFe or LeSS
- Data fluency: You know your way around tools like Mixpanel or Google Analytics and can turn numbers into decisions
- Clear communication: Whether you're in a retro, a leadership sync, or a customer call, you know how to read the room and land your message
- Cross-functional influence: You've navigated competing priorities before and know how to build alignment without bulldozing
- Technical grounding: You don't need to write the code, but you can talk shop with engineers about APIs, dev cycles, and UX tradeoffs
Bonus Points
- Experience working with ERP platforms
- Experience in edtech
- Exposure to CI/CD workflows and DevOps culture
What's In It For You
- Competitive compensation
- Flexible, hybrid work environment
- Benefits Package
- Generous time off
- A team culture built on trust, ownership, and continuous learning
