Overview
We seek an energetic, detail-oriented, and organized Shipper/Receiver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for shipping and receiving of goods, ensuring that all products are accurately processed and accounted for. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations in addition to shipping and receiving. Knowledge of international customs documentation, shipping documentation and regulations, and a strong understanding of inventory management are important.
Duties
- Efficiently pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment while ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Schedule carrier pickups and drop-offs as required to serve our customers
- Load and unload shipments using forklift and other warehouse equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory and shipping records by utilizing an ERP system
- Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with company and legal standards.
- Complete all shipping and international customs clearance documentation
- Collaborate with warehouse team to optimize operations and customer service
- Support inventory management as needed.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse role.
- Proficiency in order picking processes and familiarity with Inventory and Shipping transactions via an ERP system is a plus. (Sage300 or Epicor Kinetic)
- Experience preparing International Shipping and Customs Clearance documents such as BoL, Commercial Invoices, CERS, etc.
- Ability to operate forklifts and reach trucks safely; current certification is preferred but can be obtained on the job.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and inventory management.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Must be able to safely lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) as required.
