We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in altering, repairing, and creating garments according to customer specifications and current fashion trends. This role requires precision, excellent sewing skills, and a strong sense of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take accurate measurements of customers and garments.
- Alter and repair clothing according to instructions or personal assessment.
- Create custom garments such as suits, dresses, or uniforms.
- Perform fittings and consult with customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Select appropriate materials and sewing techniques for various types of fabrics.
- Maintain sewing equipment and ensure a clean, organized work area.
- Keep up-to-date with tailoring techniques and fashion trends.
- Meet deadlines and manage workload efficiently, especially during peak periods.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a tailor or similar role.
- Proficient in hand-sewing and using industrial sewing machines.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction and fabric types.
- Attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
