Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking hands-on experience in the electrical field. The Apprentice Electrician will work under the supervision of experienced electricians, assisting in various tasks related to electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance. Duties
Specific job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Work with power tools and hand tools to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to understand project requirements.
- Support experienced electricians in troubleshooting electrical issues and performing low-voltage work.
- Participate in safety training and adhere to all safety protocols on job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that tools and materials are stored correctly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
Qualifications
- A basic understanding of electrical systems is an asset
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, low-voltage systems, schematics, and blueprint reading is preferred.
- Strong willingness to learn and take direction from experienced professionals.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Strong customer relations.
Education
- Related trade certificates are considered an asset.
- Knowledge in the home building industry is considered an asset.
- First aid is considered an asset.
