A&D Euro Deli Market in Coquitlam is looking for a reliable and friendly Part-Time Deli Store Associate / Food Prep team member.
SCHEDULE:
Friday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sunday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Approximately 18 hours per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customer service and cash register/POS
- Serving customers at the deli counter
- Slicing, weighing, packaging and labeling products
- Stocking shelves and organizing merchandise
- Receiving and putting away deliveries
- Assisting with food preparation, including sausages, mici and other prepared foods
- Assisting with baking and preparation of baked goods
- Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and utensils
- General daily store duties
REQUIREMENTS:
- Reliable, responsible and punctual
- Friendly and comfortable working with customers
- Comfortable handling and preparing food
- Previous deli, grocery, bakery, butcher shop, restaurant or food-preparation experience is preferred
- FoodSafe certification is an asset
- Romanian or another Eastern European language is an asset, but not required
PAY:
$18.25–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
Candidates with experience in baking, cooking, deli work, food preparation, or meat/sausage preparation may qualify for a higher starting wage.
