Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Manager to join our retail team. Responsibilities
-Lead and supervise retail sales teams to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
-Assist in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees to foster a high-performing team.
-Manage daily store operations including cash handling, POS system oversight, and inventory control to ensure smooth functioning.
-Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to maximize sales potential.
-Coordinate shift schedules, manage payroll processing, and monitor operational expenses within budget guidelines.
-Implement effective marketing initiatives and promotional activities to attract customers and boost sales.
-Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and store procedures at all times.
Requirements
-Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry.
-Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively and communicate managerial expectations clearly.
-Excellent organizational skills with proficiency in inventory management, bookkeeping, and basic math.
-Demonstrated ability in customer service, sales management, and operational oversight including POS systems and cash handling.
-Knowledge of retail math concepts such as pricing strategies, budgeting, and sales analysis.
-Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
-Experience with recruiting, training & development, employee orientation, and supervising staff shifts is highly desirable.
-Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus but not required.
