TDE is searching for a Journeyman Welder who will be responsible for a variety of welding procedure and techniques on beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components, including learning and following TDE’s Welding Procedures Specifications (WPS).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes but not limited to:
- Read and understand fabrication drawings.
- Precisely Join or sever non-pressure components to the exact measurements required.
- Clean, prepare, cut and weld non-pressure components following TDE’s WPS.
- Must be able to meet the Supervisor’s set target amount of welding daily.
- Able to follow instructions exactly as given.
- Mentor and work closely with Welder Apprentices.
- Report any issues and/or concerts to the Shop Lead Hand and/or the Shop Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 + years of experience as a Journeyman Welder.
- Journeyman Welder Trade Certificate.
- Interprovincial Red Seal is considered an asset.
- CWB certified welders proficient and currently certified in the flux core welding process
- Working knowledge of fabrication, manufacturing, and construction.
- Proficient knowledge of industry best practices.
- Proven ability to produce high quality work while facing competing priorities and strict deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize activities, adapt to change, and stay focused in a dynamic environment.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to interact positively with all levels of staff.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and discretion when working with confidential information.
