Hammond Manufacturing Company Limited is a leading Canadian manufacturer of electrical and electronic enclosures. As a key member of the Hammond Operations Team, the Quality Compliance Technologist plays a hands-on role in supporting day-to-day production activities through the application and reinforcement of standards, inspections, training, and issue resolution.
This role is heavily focused on shop-floor presence, ensuring that products and processes comply with internal requirements, customer expectations, and documented procedures. The position bridges the gap between production execution and process control by advising supervisors, coaching operators, supporting investigations, coordinating audits, and ensuring customer concerns are addressed through effective root cause and corrective actions.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Work in compliance with Hammond Manufacturing’s Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Production Systems
- Support compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and other regulatory or customer requirements; assist as an internal auditor
- Conduct on-the-floor process reviews, inspections, and audits to ensure adherence to work instructions, standards, and specifications
- Respond to customer concerns within 24 hours
- Initiate and lead CARR responses, including containment, investigation, and resolution of internal and external issues
- Lead root cause investigations related to internal NCRs, working cross-functionally to implement corrective actions
- Train operators on inspection tools, documentation practices, and updated procedures
- Advise supervisors on process deviations or repeated errors to support coaching and corrective action
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives to ensure consistency across departments and shifts
- Provide data and reporting on non-conformances, missed checks, and training gaps
- Support first-off verification, operator sign-offs, and layered process audits (LPAs)
- Promote collaboration across departments and teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and compliance
- Be available across shifts as needed to support training effectiveness and audit readiness
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, paint, and assembly processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience conducting inspections, audits, or compliance reviews in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work independently on the shop floor with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills to effectively guide operators and support supervisors
- Proven ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation
Highly Preferred
- Post-secondary education in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 or similar quality management systems
- Experience handling customer complaints, NCRs, or CAPA processes
- Hands-on experience in auditing, compliance, or process training within a production environment
