We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Supervisor to support and administer our ASME quality program. Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining compliance with ASME Section I, Section VIII Division 1, National Board, Technical Safety BC, ISO 9001, customer and company QMS requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the administration, maintenance and continuous improvement of the company's ASME Quality Control System and related procedures.
- Prepare, review and maintain Manufacturing Data Reports (MDRs), quality records and other Code documentation.
- Coordinate quality activities related to material traceability, welding qualifications, NDE, heat treatment, pressure testing, inspections and certification requirements.
- Review material certifications, inspection reports, and fabrication records to verify compliance with Code, customer and company requirements.
- Coordinate quality activities involving Authorized Inspectors, customers, subcontractors and regulatory authorities.
- Participate in internal and external audits, corrective actions, nonconformance investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to production personnel on quality and Code compliance matters.
- Support ISO 9001, CWB and other quality system requirements as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years of practical experience working under ASME Section I and/or Section VIII Division 1 quality programs, including application of Section IX and National Board requirements.
- Experience preparing, reviewing or managing MDRs and ASME Code documentation packages.
- Strong understanding of material traceability, welding qualifications, NDE documentation, pressure testing and inspection requirements.
- Experience working with Authorized Inspectors and supporting ASME audits.
- Understanding of CWB Welding Codes 47.1 and 47.2 or Welding Inspector certification a definite asset.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, codes and standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and must be able to prioritize tasks while working under minimal supervision.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and own vehicle.
Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
