The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, comprehensively trained Pilates Instructor to teach group and small-group classes, as well as one-to-one and one-to-two private sessions. This position is designed for an instructor who can confidently assess individual needs, create thoughtful programs and work across a full range of Pilates apparatus.
What you'll do
- Teach group, small-group, one-to-one and one-to-two Pilates sessions.
- Assess client movement, goals, experience and relevant limitations.
- Design progressive, individualized programs for private and semi-private clients.
- Deliver safe and effective programming for mixed-level groups.
- Provide precise cueing, alignment corrections and appropriate modifications.
- Help clients develop posture, strength, mobility, core connection and movement confidence.
- Track client progress and communicate recommendations professionally.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized studio environment.

What you bring
- A recognized comprehensive Pilates teaching certificate.
- At least one year of professional Pilates teaching experience.
- Experience teaching private, semi-private and small-group sessions.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, alignment and movement observation.
- The ability to create safe progressions and modifications for different bodies and experience levels.
- Fluent, professional spoken English, required for detailed instruction and client safety.
- A warm, attentive and polished client-service approach.
- Availability to commit to at least 12 hours per week.
- Legal authorization to work or provide services in Canada and reliable access to West Vancouver.
- Personal professional-liability insurance, or willingness to obtain it before starting.
Training in prenatal/postpartum Pilates, injury-aware movement, scoliosis, osteoporosis, older-adult programming or rehabilitation-informed Pilates is an asset. Current First Aid/CPR certification is also preferred.
Compensation and engagement
$35-$60 per scheduled teaching hour, based on comprehensive certification, apparatus experience, teaching background and session type.
This is intended to be an independent-contractor opportunity. The final arrangement will be documented in a written service agreement and must reflect a genuine contractor relationship.
