Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires mechanical aptitude, precision, and familiarity with various manufacturing tools and techniques to ensure efficient production and adherence to quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate press brake machines to bend and form metal sheets according to detailed blueprints and specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine machine settings and process requirements.
- Set up CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, and other related equipment as needed for production runs.
- Program CNC machines for precise cuts and bends, ensuring accuracy and consistency across parts.
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other measuring devices for quality inspection and verification of finished products.
- Perform routine maintenance on press brake machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with team members in assembly processes when necessary to meet production deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
- Familiarity with CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, welding, and machining processes.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings.
- Mechanical knowledge of hand tools, calipers, and other measurement instruments for quality inspection.
- Basic math skills necessary for machine setup and part measurement.
- Experience with crane operation and forklift handling is a plus but not required.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing safety standards and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality components efficiently.
