Nissin Transport Canada Inc., a well-established global logistics service provider with over 40 years of history in Canada, is looking for an experienced AZ Driver for our morning shift at our Alliston location. Standard hours of work will be from Monday - Friday from 6:30 am - 3:00 pm. Overtime and weekend work when necessary.
· You will be responsible for the safe operation of an assigned motor vehicle; practicing non-aggressive defensive driving techniques in accordance with standards, regulations and laws pertaining to transportation.
· Local deliveries in the Alliston area
· Ensure trucks are loaded efficiently and in accordance with regulations.
· Able to lift 50lbs or more when necessary
· Assist with various duties within the shipping & receiving area of the plant.
· Other duties as assigned
Our Ideal Candidate:
· You are a dedicated driver, with a proven safety record and a valid AZ license.
· You have 2 years of recent experience (strong asset).
· Must be able to operate an automatic transmission
· You have a clean driver's abstract and CVOR.
· Your character is typically described as dedicated, hardworking, a team player, customer focused and detail-oriented.
· You have good communication skills, are able to work to deadlines.
· You have demonstrated time management and multi-tasking skills.
· You have proven documentation knowledge in the following: driver logbook, bill of lading, inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, trip reports, accident or incident reports, and dangerous goods occurrence reports and load securement.
