Position Overview
Our barbers provide clients with every aspect of the barbershop experience — from consultation and style recommendations to quality technical services and client care.
We are looking for someone who understands that barbering is more than just cutting hair. It is about building trust, creating a great experience, and giving clients a reason to return.
The ideal candidate is confident in their craft, professional with clients, reliable with their schedule, and committed to delivering a high-quality grooming experience.
Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their grooming needs and personal style
- Recommend suitable services, styles, and care routines
- Provide high-quality barbering services with attention to detail
- Perform modern and classic barbering techniques, including:
- Taper fades
- Skin fades
- Modern mullets
- Scissor-over-comb work
- Beard trims and shaping
- Hot towel shaves
- Clean finishing and styling
- Deliver a professional client experience that encourages repeat bookings
- Use barbering tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Learn and apply knowledge of products used and sold in the shop
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Assist with overall shop cleanliness and presentation
- Arrive on time and be consistent with your schedule
- Take pride in your appearance, tools, and craftsmanship
- Work respectfully with team members to uphold the Gratitude standard
- Help create a welcoming, professional, and community-focused environment
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 3 years of professional barbering experience preferred
- Strong technical barbering skills
- Confident with fades, beard work, and modern barbering trends
- Detail-oriented and consistent
- Reliable, punctual, and disciplined
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Team-oriented and respectful of others
- Passionate about growth and building client relationships
- Available Tuesday to Saturday
- Spanish-speaking or bilingual is an asset
- Existing clientele is an asset, but not required
