Job Title: Finance Analyst (FP&A – Contract)
Location: Lachine, Montreal, QC (Onsite – 5 days/week)
Type: Contractor (6 months, with possibility of extension based on performance)
Compensation: USD $4,500/month (fixed)
Role Overview
We are looking for a Finance Analyst (FP&A) to support financial planning, reporting, and business performance analysis within a manufacturing environment.
This role is ideal for a hands-on analyst (2–5 years of experience) who is strong in Excel, ERP systems, and financial analysis, and who enjoys working closely with operations and finance teams to drive business insights.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting
- Analyze KPIs, financial results, and business performance trends
- Perform variance analysis (Actual vs Budget vs Forecast)
- Build and maintain financial models and reporting tools
Business Performance Support
- Support cost, margin, and profitability analysis
- Provide insights for pricing, operational decisions, and initiatives
- Assist in financial evaluation of projects and business cases
Data, ERP & Reporting
- Work with ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) for financial data extraction
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data
- Develop dashboards and reports (Excel / BI tools)
Process & Controls
- Support month-end and reporting cycles
- Contribute to improving financial processes and reporting efficiency
- Assist with audit and internal control documentation
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in Finance, FP&A, or Accounting roles
- Strong Excel skills (financial modeling, analysis, pivot tables)
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
- Understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
- Experience in manufacturing or operations environment is a strong plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Mandatory Requirements
- Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident only
- No visa sponsorship available
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Lachine, Montreal
Nice to Have
- Experience in manufacturing finance or cost accounting
- Exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience in fast-paced corporate environments
