Duties
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently across various construction sites, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment before and after use, identifying maintenance needs or potential issues.
- Dig trenches, foundations, and holes with precision to meet project specifications.
- Load and unload materials, debris, or equipment as directed by project supervisors.
- Assist with site preparation activities, including clearing land and leveling surfaces.
- Maintain accurate logs of work performed, equipment usage, and safety checks.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow on-site.
Experience
- Proven experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery in construction or excavation environments.
- Strong understanding of site safety procedures and equipment maintenance practices.
- Ability to read blueprints or site plans is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and safety compliance.
- Valid certification or licensing for heavy equipment operation preferred; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is valued.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
