We are seeking a dedicated and skilled chiropodist to join a well-established chiropodist run clinic. Position is for 2-3 days a week to start, with potential to increase to full time hours for the right candidate.
The range of services includes active treatment of acute pathological foot conditions, surgical procedures, and preventive and palliative foot care. We strive to provide high-quality care that is patient-centered, respectful and inclusive.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of lower limb and foot conditions to full scope of chiropody practice including nail and callus care, fungal infections, orthotics, nail surgeries, etc.
- Educate patients on proper foot health, hygiene, exercises and preventive measure to promote foot health.
-Designing and implementing a management plan based on the patient’s individual needs.
-Ensuring appropriate antiseptic techniques, safe procedures following IPAC guidelines and ensures that all clinical equipment is in satisfactory operating condition.
- Effective time management and organizational skills, maintaining of patient records within EMR.
Qualifications and Competencies:
Graduate of an accredited school of Chiropody/Podiatry.
Valid licensing/registration by the College of Chiropodist of Ontario in good standing.
Carries own professional liability insurance.
Excellent communication skills, with commitment to providing compassionate, patient centred care.
Experience with CFPM EMR software an asset.
