As a Taxi Driver, you will be responsible for transporting clients to their desired destinations in a timely manner, maintaining the vehicle, and managing cash transactions.
Duties
- Safely operate the taxi and navigate through various routes to transport passengers efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with their needs and ensuring a pleasant travel experience.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs, adhering to scheduled appointments.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, providing change as necessary and maintaining records of fares collected.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle, performing routine inspections and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure passenger safety at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding ride requests and any changes in schedule or route.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in commercial driving or as a taxi driver is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse clientele.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient route planning and adherence to schedules.
- Basic cash handling skills for managing fares and transactions accurately.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle unexpected situations professionally.
- Familiarity with local streets, landmarks, and traffic patterns is an advantage.
