Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Duties
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections
- Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to verify accuracy of financial data
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly
- Assist with budgeting processes by preparing reports and forecasts
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Prepare financial reports for management review and audit purposes
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and ledger updates
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards across all bookkeeping activities
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation
- Experience with payroll processing and related tax regulations
- Ability to perform bank reconciliation and account analysis accurately
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to interpret financial data and prepare clear reports for management
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify discrepancies and implement solutions effectively
- Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial forecasting is a plus
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external auditors
