Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Abrasive Blaster to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing metal surfaces through abrasive blasting to ensure optimal surface quality for subsequent processes such as coating or assembly. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety protocols to maintain a productive and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate abrasive blasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces of metal components and structures.
- Inspect surfaces post-blasting to ensure cleanliness and proper surface profile.
- Set up and maintain blasting equipment, ensuring proper calibration and safety measures are followed.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed for surface preparation or minor repairs.
- Assist with material handling when necessary, following all safety procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment, adhering to lean manufacturing principles.
- Follow all safety guidelines related to abrasive materials, dust control, and personal protective equipment (PPE) All PPE is provided.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly or machining tasks when required, demonstrating mechanical knowledge.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments.
- Physically Strong/fit.
- Proficiency in operating hand tools and power tools.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency.
- Experience industrial abrasive blasting or coatings not required. .

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
