Bakery Team Member
Zaatara Bakery is looking for hardworking and reliable team members to join our team. Our staff play an important role in preparing fresh food, maintaining quality standards, and providing excellent service to our customers.
Team members may work in different areas of the bakery, including dough preparation, baking, food preparation, and front counter service.
Responsibilities
Dough & Baking Team
- Prepare and work with dough according to bakery recipes and standards
- Shape, prepare, and bake fresh bakery items
- Operate ovens and baking equipment safely
- Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
Food Preparation Team
- Prepare fresh vegetables, salads, toppings, and ingredients
- Wash, cut, portion, and organize ingredients for daily production
- Assist with preparing orders and maintaining ingredient supplies
- Keep prep areas clean and properly stocked
- Follow proper food handling and storage procedures
Front Counter & Customer Service Team
- Welcome customers and provide friendly service
- Take customer orders accurately
- Process payments using the point-of-sale system
- Prepare and serve food orders
- Answer customer questions about menu items
- Maintain a clean and organized dining and service area
Qualifications
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced bakery environment
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to learn bakery procedures and food preparation techniques
- Previous bakery, restaurant, or food service experience is an asset but not required
Located in Bowness
Pay: $15.50-$20.00 per hour
