One of our clients is currently seeking an Overhead Crane Operator to support daily operations and ensure efficient order fulfillment. This role is essential in maintaining productivity by safely moving materials, loading/unloading trailers, and supporting plant operations.
Responsibilities
· Operate industrial overhead cranes, handling long and narrow materials such as rebar
· Load and unload flatbed trailers using crane equipment
· Move materials between machines and throughout the yard
· Pull inventory based on order specifications
· Perform pre-operational equipment checks and report issues
· Complete required documentation accurately
· Inspect cut materials for quality and prepare for shipment
· Operate semi-automatic and manual machinery as needed
· Assist machine operators, forklift operators, and other team members
· Safely lift and handle loads up to 50 lbs
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
· Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
Requirements
· Minimum 1-2 years of overhead crane experience (preferably steel/rebar handling)
· Forklift/tow motor or reach truck experience is considered an asset
· Crane certification can be provided (no current license required)
· Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance knowledge
· Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
· Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
· Flexibility to assist other plant personnel when required
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
