You’ll be responsible for transporting goods across long distances, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. What you’ll do
- Operate various trucks, including tractor-trailers with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Load and unload freight using pallet jack and other equipment if needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Navigate assigned routes effectively while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of hours driven, miles traveled, and cargo details in accordance with company policies.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding any delays or issues encountered on the road.
- Ensure the proper handling of refrigerated trailers to maintain product integrity during transport.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize delivery schedules and enhance overall service quality.
Basic qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in route driving with a strong understanding of long-haul logistics.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial driving roles.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers and semi trucks.
