Job Posting: Site Superintendent
We are currently seeking a highly organized and proactive Site Superintendent to join our growing team. The Site Superintendent assists the project management team in planning commercial construction projects and oversees progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Summary of Position
The Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all trades and effectively managing daily on-site activities for commercial construction, specifically tenant fit-ups. The Site Superintendent engages and professionally interacts with design professionals, consultants and clients while successfully directing the sub-contractors and other construction related personnel in planning, coordinating and safely executing the work in accordance with the contract documents, schedule and budget. The Site Superintendent works closely with the Project Manager and fulfills an integral role on the project. The Site Superintendent is a professional and personable leader committed to the overall objective and self-development within the company.
Responsibilities
· Assists in the preparation of the project schedule
· Reviews project plans and provides feedback
· Reviews and accepts the general conditions budget
· Assembles the job site office and equipment requirements
· Possesses confidence in own ability to intelligently communicate with the design team/client as well as effectively lead the trades
· Schedules and coordinates all sub-contractors and suppliers
· Monitors and maintains the project construction schedule on a weekly basis
· Informs the Project Manager of any errors, discrepancies or omissions contained within the Consultant’s design drawings
· Maintains a safe job site and ensures that the requirements of the Occupational Health & Safety Act are enforced
· Coordinates and directs independent testing and inspections as required
· Maintains and enforces good construction standards and quality control
· Controls and monitors labour, material and equipment expenses
· Maintains a neat and tidy worksite.
Required Skills
· Must be able to obtain government security clearance
· Expertise in reading construction drawings
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in the commercial construction field
· Ability to motivate and manage construction workers effectively
· Must have an understanding of construction related terms, scheduling and planning concepts
· Must have thorough knowledge of building codes
· Proficient with Procore, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
· Excellent organizational, presentation and interpersonal skills
· Use of small tools would be a definite asset

Salary: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00
