Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality dishes and maintaining food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering excellent food service to our guests. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in the food industry.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and quality standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining consistency and presentation standards
- Handle food safely and hygienically, adhering to all food handling regulations
- Assist with food plating, garnishing, and portion control to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Support the kitchen team during busy hours by providing timely assistance with food prep and cooking tasks
- Follow all safety procedures and proper use of kitchen equipment
Requirements
- Previous experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and presentation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings as needed
