Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drainage & Excavating Laborer to join our Residential Perimeter drain & Concrete team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting drainage system installations and concrete work on various construction sites. Your energetic approach and commitment to quality will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of drainage systems, including pipe laying, trenching, and backfilling using hand tools and power tools.
- Support prepping and forming concrete projects
- Working around excavators and trucks
- Prepare work sites by setting forms, installing rebar, and performing demolition or renovation tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of debris following safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members on plumbing work, excavations, landscaping.
- Follow safety guidelines diligently while operating power tools or heavy equipment to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Support site inspections and quality control checks to ensure adherence to project specifications and schematics.
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites with a focus on concrete or drainage projects is a must.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings is essential for precise execution.
- Hands-on experience with perimeter drain systems, sewer lines and concrete prep
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment (such as mixers or pumps), and basic carpentry tools confidently.
- Demonstrated physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and working in outdoor environments under various weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Valid driver’s license with commercial driving experience or certification is advantageous for site mobility.
