This is a specialized professional role that focuses on the improvement of the Agile team and drives the methodology, provides guidance on its application and associated processes, protects the team from outside distractions, conducts ceremony facilitation, removes impediments, and is dedicated to the Agile team. The Scrum Master understands Agile and helps stakeholders work according to the method for the benefit of the team and the projects. This role supports AI-related projects within a Global Security & Defense team at a major financial institution, operating within a high-visibility program focused on AI-led initiatives in cybersecurity, global security, and defense. The team is currently transitioning from a SAFe-like model, and this Scrum Master will work closely with PMs to help organize pods. Each Scrum Master will support 2 3 Agile pods on different workstreams, reporting to the same manager. This is a fast-paced Agile transformation environment where teams are moving from traditional project management to Agile. The team consists of approximately 15 people, with a collaborative and supportive culture, and offers exposure to AI-led initiatives supporting cybersecurity. Mindset and cultural fit outweigh technical, banking, or AI experience. The hiring manager is looking for an experienced Scrum Master with strong coaching, communication, and Agile transformation skills, plus enough project management experience to work effectively in a hybrid Agile environment.
