What You’ll Step Into
This role is hands-on, fast-moving, and varied. You’ll support multiple clients and gain exposure across bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax, building a well-rounded foundation from day one.
You’ll be:
- Owning day-to-day bookkeeping across a portfolio of clients using QuickBooks and Excel
- Processing payments (EFTs, wires, ACH) and managing accounts payable workflows
- Reconciling bank, investment, and credit card accounts with precision
- Supporting accounts receivable and keeping client records clean and current
- Preparing financial schedules, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation
- Assisting with corporate and personal tax returns, working papers, and filings
- Contributing to financial statement preparation using Caseware
- Supporting tax slip preparation (Canadian and U.S.)
- Interacting with the CRA and assisting with client correspondence
- Jumping in wherever needed to keep things moving in a collaborative team

What You Bring:
- Solid foundation in accounting through education or practical experience
- Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a finance-related office role
- Ability to manage multiple clients and competing priorities effectively
- Strong technical skills in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Clear and professional communication skills
- High level of integrity and discretion with confidential information
- Organized, accountable, and consistently dependable
- Software experience with Quickbooks, Caseware and/or Profile would be an asset
- Experience with preparing corporate, personal, GST/HST and/or tax slips would be an asset
