Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Transportation Sales professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships within the logistics and supply chain industry, focusing on freight and 3PL solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and a deep understanding of B2B sales, account management, and inside sales processes. The Transportation Sales specialist will play a key role in expanding our client base, managing sales pipelines, and ensuring customer satisfaction through tailored transportation solutions.
Duties
- Develop new business opportunities through proactive outreach and networking within the transportation and logistics industry.
- Manage existing client accounts to ensure retention and growth, providing exceptional customer service.
- Negotiate rates, terms, and service agreements with clients to meet their freight needs while aligning with company goals.
- Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status effectively.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of transportation services, including supply chain coordination and freight management.
- Conduct data entry related to sales orders, customer information, and shipment details using systems such as AS400.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and reports to support sales efforts and strategic planning.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify new opportunities for growth.
Experience
MUST have LTL, FTL, Intermodal sales and account management but must at least have current LTL sales experience, preferably on the asset-based side. (Minimum 3 years in industry selling LTL services)...
- Proven experience in B2B sales within the transportation or logistics industry is required.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing complex deals involving freight & supply chain solutions.
- Knowledge of freight management, supply chain operations, 3PL services, and inside sales techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Prior experience in account management or sales management roles within the transportation sector will be advantageous.

Pay: $85,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
