The Role
The Business Transient Sales Manager will develop and manage the hotel’s negotiated transients. The candidate must be skilled in building relationships, engaging clients, anticipating guest needs, and exceeding expectations. This candidate will work alongside the Director of Sales to achieve pre-established room and revenue goals.
Responsibilities
- Proactively solicits and qualifies new business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections, written communication, and client entertainment.
- Conducts targeted account research to determine revenue potential.
- Participates in daily business review meetings, training, and other sales-related meetings as required.
- Analyzes market trends, competition, and customer behavior to ensure the hotel remains competitive in the local market.
- Responds to sales leads and clients’ requests within 4 hours.
- Prepares and customizes sales presentations and proposals to meet client’s needs.
- Works in harmony with other departments to execute group bookings and catering events.
- Produces quarterly plans and weekly reports with strategies to achieve activity targets and annual revenue goals.
- Coordinates sales trips to key market areas (local or regional), maintaining close relationships with clients.
- Tracks performance metrics and booking trends using CRM tools.
- Monitors and assesses service and satisfaction trends, evaluates and addresses issues, and implements improvements.
- Perform weekly MOD shifts as needed.
- Ensures adherence to Manga Hotel policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Must have excellent communication, written and verbal required
- Must have a sharp knowledge and understanding of the hotel sales / operations
- This position must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in hotel sales
- Energetic and outgoing, with a positive attitude, driven to provide outstanding guest service.
- A working knowledge of Delphi is a plus.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, hold a valid driver’s license and drive to client appointments
- Self-motivated with the ability to function and make decisions in a fast-paced high-pressure environment with strong attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
