Power Shotcrete Shoring provides geotechnical construction services such as soil nailing, shotcrete placement, anchor installation, pipe piles, seismic anchors, cut-off walls and emergency slope stabilization for infrastructure, mining, commercial and residential construction projects.
We are seeking a Skilled Shoring Worker to join our team in a dynamic geotechnical construction environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in Shoring Construction. Applicants must also have the ability to use small tools such as saws, hammers, drills, etc.
Responsibilities
- Able to perform manual labor (i.e. heavy lifting, shoveling, chucking steel, etc.)
- Works in a safe manner. Understands and abides by Shoring’s Health & Safety practices.
- Experience around heavy machinery
- Must have the ability and willingness to work in all types of adverse conditions such as extreme weather
- Be able to recognize safety issues
- Ability to work without close supervision once directed on task, and follow directions
- Must be dependable and have means of getting to work on time
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods; handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis
Experience
- Comfortable working in excavations, around heavy equipment, and at heights.
- Prior experience shoring is required.
- Familiarity with safety standards related to shotcrete and shoring operations and heavy machinery
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and adapt to changing project needs
Must have your own CSA approved steel toe boots. All specialized PPE is provided during orientation. Every employee in this area is required to arrive for orientation clean shaven for a Respirator Fit Exam, if you are required to wear one beyond the orientation you must remain clean shaven, as a condition of employment.
