Refuge Cove Gallery is located on West Redonda Island in Refuge Cove, in the heart of Desolation Sound — a world-renowned yachting and sailing destination known for calm anchorages, warm swimming waters, fishing, and kayaking. Perched just above Refuge Cove Marina, one of Desolation Sound’s most beloved provisioning hubs, the gallery serves as a vibrant summer destination for locals and visiting boaters seeking thoughtfully curated coastal goods and local art.
Refuge Cove Gallery is a curated coastal retail space located directly on the water in Desolation Sound. We feature high quality goods from local and Canadian makers, serving both our community and visiting boaters.
We are hiring for our Retail team for the 2026 season.
Compensation & Perks
- Starting at $20/hour (based on experience)
- Commission on sales
- Staff housing included
- Three prepared staff meals daily
- 6 days on / 1 day off
- 48–60 hours per week
- Staff boat access (licensed individuals)
- Kayaks, sauna access, trails, lake and ocean swimming
Role Responsibilities
- Retail sales and customer engagement
- High-volume inventory management and organization
- Visual merchandising and display upkeep
- Maintaining a clean and inviting retail space
- Supporting product storytelling and brand alignment
This role requires comfort in a fast-paced retail environment with high seasonal traffic. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
There may be opportunity for crossover shifts within Refuge Dockside Kitchen for candidates interested in a hybrid restaurant and retail role.
