Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)

H.G. MacNeil’s specializes in the repair, maintenance, and diagnostics of medium and
heavy-duty vehicles, along with general automotive service. We are expanding our team and
looking for a skilled, certified technician to join our growing operation.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Red Seal or Journeyman Truck & Transport Mechanic or a fully qualified
Automotive Technician. The ideal candidate is experienced, dependable, and able to work
efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
We also offer training opportunities for Cummins and International vehicles, helping you
expand your skills and stay up-to-date with industry-leading technology.
We will consider apprentices with 3rd block.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy-duty trucks
Perform safety inspections and preventative maintenance
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
Complete work orders accurately and follow company procedures
Work independently and as part of a team
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Communicate effectively with team members and management
Requirements
Red Seal Truck & Transport Mechanic, Journeyman, or Automotive Service Technician
certification
Experience with medium/heavy trucks and/or light automotive

Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 is an asset, not required)
●
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
●
Ability to work efficiently, safely, and professionally
●
Own basic tools (shop provides specialty tools and equipment)
