Position Summary
As a Pharmacy Clerk, you'll play an important role in creating a positive experience for every customer who walks through our doors. You will primarily work at the front counter, assisting customers with purchases, operating the cash register, selling lottery products, and ensuring every visitor receives friendly, efficient service.
You'll also provide administrative support to the pharmacy team and assist with basic pharmacy-related tasks when needed.
What You'll Do
Customer Service
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately
- Process customer purchases accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Sell Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries products (training provided)
- Handle cash, debit, credit card, and other payment transactions
- Resolve customer questions or direct them to the appropriate pharmacy team member
Pharmacy Support
- File prescriptions and confidential documentation accurately
- Assist with inventory organization and stock replenishment
- Retrieve medications and supplies for Pharmacy Assistants when required
- Charge patient accounts for prescriptions
- Assist with medication disposal procedures
- Support the pharmacy team with various administrative tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
- Previous customer service or retail experience
- Pharmacy or healthcare experience is considered an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Basic computer skills
Experience with the following is considered an asset:
- Pharmacy software (Kroll)
- Point-of-sale/cash register systems
- Lottery terminal experience
- Training will be provided for the pharmacy point-of-sale system and Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries terminal.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Weekend shifts required
- Approximately 24 hours per week

Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
