Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader and HANDS on OPERATOR for Base Preparation to join our team in the Okanagan Valley., B.C. This role is vital in Coordinating, asphalt base preparation projects, ensuring quality and safety standards are met while supporting our company's mission of delivering top-tier paving solutions. Are you a team leader with experience excavating, shaping, and grading the ground in preparation for asphalt paving? Can you Operate a skid steer? Excavator?
Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and Complete asphalt base preparation projects on-site, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
- Supervise a team of workers, providing guidance and training to maintain high safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to plan daily activities and resource allocation.
- Conduct inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Support the implementation of environmentally sustainable practices during construction activities.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or asphalt paving projects, with a focus on base preparation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to construction equipment.
- Valid commercial driver’s license preferred.
- Experience operating Skid Steers, Excavators and other heavy machinery is REQUIRED.
- Excavating, Shaping, Grading.
- Ability to lead a team effectively and communicate clearly.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
