Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk Summer Staff

The Opportunity
As a Financial Summer Staff, you will be a skilled, detail-oriented and collaborative team player responsible for managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records for our company’s accounts payable and accounts receivable.
This is an 8 week contract position, with opportunities for flexible shifts, including early mornings, days, evenings, and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Enter invoices in accounting system for payments ensuring correct approval, coding and matching of PO’s.
- Provide efficient and effective data entry, clerical, and administrative work relating to the registration and accounting systems in accordance with the approved standards and guidelines.
- Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and communicate with vendors regarding payment related matters.
- Ability to work directly with subsidy providers and social development to confirm funding for participants.
- Supporting updates for the registration software for child care, after school and camp.
- Maintain and update summer camp waitlists.
- Understand and integrate the value of philanthropy and volunteerism.
- Self manage personal professional development and work that needs to be completed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communications skills, and previous experience working with senior management
- Be flexible and adaptable, understand the overall goals of the team and actively seek to help achieve them.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work items with minimum direction.
- Strong time management, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Employment Requirement
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Clearance from the Department of Social Development (New Brunswick), if applicable.
