The Grounds Guys Barrie is looking for an experienced gardener or an individual who is eager to learn and who has a passion for the horticultural world. The ideal candidate must be reliable, have an exceptional attention to detail and quality, time management and client relation skills.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Perform garden maintenance duties for residential and commercial clients, such as garden edging, cultivating, hand weeding, trimming, pruning, spring and fall clean ups.
- Operate a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to bed edgers, mechanical shears, commercial mowers, blowers, line trimmers, and roto-tillers
- Address clients' questions, comments, and concerns
Job Requirements:
- This position is full time, seasonal
- Current G2 or G Driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
- Gardening Experience is considered an asset
- Flexible hours, the ability to work Monday to Friday, and Saturdays when required.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to waist level and perform all other physical requirements associated with a position of this nature
- Steel toe boots/shoes
Rate of pay $20 - $22 per hour depending on experience
