Duties
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and use of maintenance equipment
- Interpret technical diagrams and schematics for accurate repairs
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings clearly to customers
- Assist in vehicle inspections and ensure all work meets industry standards
- Support ongoing vehicle maintenance programs to enhance performance and longevity
Qualifications
- Proven workplace experience as an Automotive Service Technician
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with vehicle assembly and disassembly processes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
- Knowledge of automotive systems including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components
- Prior experience working with maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques
