Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing ingredients, assisting with meal assembly, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Duties
- Prepare ingredients including vegetables, seafood, sauces, and other menu items according to recipes and standards
- Support cooking processes by following recipes and instructions from chefs or kitchen managers
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Stock and organize pantry items, supplies, and ingredients to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Assist with plating and presentation of dishes as needed during service
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety of food served
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation during busy hours
Requirements
- Prior experience in serving, food preparation, or kitchen roles within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards in the food industry
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings if required
- Basic knowledge of restaurant operations and customer service principles is a plus
