Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative & Office Tasks:
- Compose professional emails, update marina management system, scan, copy, and create spreadsheets.
- Print documents and ensure smooth office operations.
- Handle reservation process via phone or web inquiry, following the Reservation Checklist.
- Record and process payments accurately; update contract information in the system and on the board.
- File contracts systematically for future reference.
- Marina Operations Support:
- Assist with boat arrivals and departures by filling out contracts and providing excellent service.
- Support boat docking procedures, including tying boats to docks when necessary.
- Walk the docks twice daily to ensure all boats are secured properly, pathways are clear, hoses and cords are properly plugged in, and debris is removed.
- Customer Service & Communication:
- Engage with clients politely and professionally via phone, email, and in person.
- Represent the marina and the Anglers brand with friendliness, integrity, and professionalism.
- Promote marina culture and services to customers.
- Safety & Facility Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the marina office and facilities daily.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including proper use of the VHF radio.
- Knowledge of basic boat and marina operations is preferred.
- Interpersonal & Leadership Skills:
- Foster a friendly, welcoming environment for clients and team members.
- Be a team player and, when necessary, work as a shift leader making informed decisions in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Follow the marina’s policies, codes of conduct, and safety procedures consistently.
- Friendly demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong personal integrity, honesty, and sense of responsibility.
- Self-initiative and proactive attitude towards tasks and problem-solving.
- Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Prior experience in marina, boating, or customer service is preferred.
- Valid pleasure craft license is an asset.
- Knowledge of VHF radio operation.
