Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment to support ongoing projects
- Prepare work sites by cleaning, organizing, and setting up necessary supplies and safety barriers
- Support skilled tradespeople by handing tools, holding materials, or performing basic tasks as directed
- Perform general maintenance duties such as sweeping, trash removal, and site cleanup to maintain a safe workspace
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and teammates
- Operate basic equipment under supervision, including forklifts or other machinery if certified
- Report any safety hazards or equipment issues immediately to supervisors for prompt resolution
Experience
- Previous experience in general labour or construction-related roles is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is key
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards in all activities
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures and protocols
