About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and organized Operations & Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Richmond, BC.
This is a hands-on role responsible for coordinating and monitoring shipments from origin to final delivery. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where timing and accuracy are critical.
Previous experience in air freight, logistics, freight forwarding, warehousing, or transportation is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, reliability, and eagerness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
Shipment Coordination
- Coordinate daily import and export air freight shipments.
- Monitor shipments from booking through final delivery.
- Track flight schedules, delays, cancellations, and routing changes.
- Coordinate cargo recoveries, deliveries, and warehouse handling activities.
- Ensure shipment information is accurate and updated in company systems.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and review air waybills, shipping documents, and commercial documentation.
- Assist with customs and clearance-related documentation.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure compliance with company procedures.
Customer & Partner Communication
- Communicate with customers, airlines, freight forwarders, trucking companies, warehouses, and overseas agents.
- Provide timely updates regarding shipment status and operational changes.
- Follow up on outstanding documentation, deliveries, and shipment requirements.
Operational Problem Solving
- Identify and resolve shipment issues and service disruptions.
- Assist with warehouse and cargo-handling operations when required.
- Support the operations team during peak shipping periods and operationally required weekends or holidays.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, warehousing, or a related industry.
- Experience with air freight operations and international shipping documentation.
- Familiarity with perishable cargo handling is considered an asset.

Pay: $38,870.34-$45,000.00 per year
